Marriage Weekend Getaway

Aspen Grove Marriage Weekend Getaways offer educational lectures on marriage, and a variety of indoor and outdoor recreational activities and programs. All weekend packages include dinner and accommodations Friday night, and breakfast and lunch on Saturday. Bedding is provided. Dress for this event is casual.
$190 per couple for Family Lodge, Beckham Lodge, and Aspen Lodge Guestroom accommodations.
$175 per couple for Family Lodge accommodations.
$140 per couple for Rustic Cabin accommodations (available in September and October only).

Speaker: Scott Anderson, Sandy Institute of Religion
Scott Anderson and his wife, Angelle, reside in Bluffdale, Utah. They have been married for 40 years and are the parents of seven children and grandparents to an ever growing number of remarkable grandchildren.
Brother Anderson served a mission in Southern Germany. He attained a BA degree from the University of Utah in Psychology, a Master`s degree from BYU in Counseling and Guidance, and a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy also from BYU.
Brother Anderson has been teaching in Church Education since l973. He is a faculty member at the Sandy Institute of Religion, and also teaches Institute at the University of Southern Nevada, and Neumont University. He is a published author and lectures for BYU Education Weeks, Especially for Youth, and various other for youth, family, and marriage conferences all over the country. Brother Anderson is a past Bishop, Church curriculum writer, and loves construction work, research, sports, and recently ran a marathon. He loves to teach and share his love of the Savior and His gospel.

Speaker: Brad Farnsworth
Brad Farnsworth currently serves on the faculty of Religious Education at BYU where he teaches classes in ancient scriptures. He is a former stake president and mission president of the Spain Madrid Mission. Prior to serving a mission, Brad served as Administrative Vice President at BYU for 12 years. He and his wife Debbie have also lived in Hawaii and Salt Lake City, where all five children were born.
Brad and Debbie live in Provo, where they teach Gospel Doctrine class together.

Speaker: Brad Wilcox, Ph.D.
Brad Wilcox grew up in Provo, Utah, and spent several childhood years in Ethiopia, Africa. As a young man, he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chile. Dr. Wilcox earned a Ph.D. at the University of Wyoming and is currently an associate professor in the Department of Teacher Education at Brigham Young University, where he teaches courses in literacy.
He wrote the script for the musical programs From Cumorah’s Hill, and Come to the House of the Lord. He also sang the Star Spangled Banner with his friend, Steven Kapp Perry, at Wrigley Field at a Chicago Cubs game when the President of the United States was in attendance.
Brad enjoys writing and has published many books, articles, and CDs for church and national audiences, including Growing Up, Filling Your Testimony Tank, and The Prophet and the Plates. His first picture book, Hip, Hip, Hooray for Annie McRae. was a finalist for the Utah Children’s Choice Award.
Brad loves pepperoni pizza, peanut M&Ms, and driving with the volume of his car stereo turned way up. He and Debi are the parents of four children and reside in Provo, Utah.
