Family Camp Programs

Aspen Grove provides programs for all ages. Additionally, many other activities are available for both families and individuals.
Our past guests would tell you Aspen Grove programs are fun for the whole family!

ADULTS may choose from a variety of outdoor adventure activities including archery, orienteering, hiking, ropes course, pottery and ceramics, or just relaxing by the pool reading a good book. Adults may also choose to participate in sports tournaments or attend our popular guest lectures held twice daily in the Aspen Lodge. Guest lecturers are qualified individuals who are invited to camp to enhance the guest experience. They will be delivering entertaining and educational lectures on topics such as family relations, religion, communication, physical fitness, time management, and parenting skills. A schedule will be posted outside the Emerald Dining Hall each week, and a sample schedule is posted online. Please be aware this sample schedule is subject to change.
TEENS AND YOUNG ADULTS will have the opportunity to make many new friends while participating in activities such as our exciting ropes course, swimming, night games, hiking, campfires, sports, contests, and dances. Our Teen leaders welcome everyone 13 to 15 years of age, and our Young Adult counselor will conduct activities for everyone age 16 through college-age. The teen and young adult programs will provide many activities designed to help youth make new friends while having lots of fun.

CHILDREN participate in daily age-appropriate activities. Our counselors will do an excellent job in caring for your children and ensuring they have an enjoyable experience at Aspen Grove. Activities include swimming, crafts, games, hiking, treasure hunts, and picnics. Our programs teach about the environment and enhance children's sense of self-worth. Children will join in one of the following age groups:

Rompers will include infants 0-2.
Stompers, Trompers, Kittens, Bobcats, Cubs, Wild Cats,
Panthers, and Cougars range from age 3-12.

FAMILIES will be strengthened as they spend time together during Aspen Grove family programs. Families will participate in traditional opening and closing campfire programs on Saturday and Thursday evenings, have the opportunity to attend LDS Church services and an evening fireside on Sunday, and participate in other activities such as Aspen Follies, Frontier Night, Water Frolics, and the Family Dance. Aspen Follies takes place on the ball field Monday afternoon, and features activities such as the earth ball move, balloon catapult, leaky bucket, blindfolded fire drill, and sponge toss. Be sure to bring your cameras! Frontier Night is held Tuesday evening at Cowboy Village and provides carnival entertainment for the entire family. Come enjoy evening arts and crafts, snow cones, and learn what it takes to survive in the Wild West! Water Frolics takes place in the pool on Thursday afternoon. It consists of races and relays for the whole family that even nonswimmers can win. The Family Dance is another highlight for families, and is the final event before the closing campfire program and awards show on Thursday night, so you won't want to miss it!
