Qualifications:
A Utah County food handler's permit is required.
Duties:
Aspen Grove Cooks will assist the Managing Chef in preparing, serving, and storing food. Cook duties also include cleaning and maintaining equipment. Experience in food services is preferred, but not mandatory. Cooks will typically help prepare at least 2 meals on Sundays.
Characteristics:
Cooks must be punctual, self-starters, and able to begin work as early as 6:00 a.m. They should be happy and satisfied with working indoors while most of their peers are working outdoors. They need to be team players, as they will work closely with other cooks an the dining hall staff. Cooks must be able to respond quickly under busy circumstances. They should not be afraid to ask questions when learning something new.
Cook/Receiver (1 position)
Qualifications:
This individual will be required to lift 50 pounds frequently, and sometimes up to 100 pounds. A Utah County food handler's permit is also required.
Duties:
The Cook/Receiver position will assist the Managing Chef in preparing, serving and storing food. Cook duties also include cleaning and maintaining equipment. This individual will help prepare two meals on most Sundays. Experience in food service is preferred, but not mandatory. This staff member will assist with receiving an inventory of all food service items, and the job requires heavy lifting and bending.
Characteristics:
The Cook/Receiver must be punctual and a self-starter. He/she must be able to begin work as early as 6:00 a.m., and will need to move quickly and be time conscious to keep set schedules between varying responsibilities.
